Color Scheme Music

Hybrid 9th Grade Art I

Students learned about the color wheel and chose a color scheme (monochromatic, triadic, complementary, analogous) to create an expressive drawing depicting a piece of music of their own choice using shapes and lines.

Students created silly food sculptures with a focus on surface treatment and adding humor with documentation.

Composition

Hybrid 9th Grade Art I

A choice based lesson where students learned about composition and the Principles of Design Emphasis, Rhthym, and Balance. Students chose an image of their choice (from their personal photos or online) and simplified the image into basic shapes, creating a paper collage.
